FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Statesville Police Department reported the following felony arrests:

JULY 4
Jarkevious Freeman, 19, of S. Patterson Street, Statesville, charged with second-degree kidnapping, misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, and misdemeanor assault on a female.

Naje McClendon, 19, of E. Broad Street, Statesville, charged with four counts of felony larceny, eight counts of breaking or entering, flee/elude arrest, three counts of misdemeanor resist, delay or obstruct an officer, two counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property, and nine driving offenses.

Crime Reports

The SPD received the following crime reports:

JULY 1
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of a Woman’s Recovery Bible and stuffed animals from a residence in the 500 block of Russell Street.

Three individuals reported the theft of $1,200 from a location in the 200 block of Long Street.

JULY 2
Two Statesville residents reported the theft of cell phones, credit cards and cash from a location in the 100 block of Lippard Street.

A Statesville resident reported the theft of a wallet and purse from a location in the 1400 block of 5th Street.

JULY 3
A Statesville resident reported a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Park Street

A Statesville resident reported a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and the theft of a firearm in the 200 block of N. Mulberry Street.

Two Statesville residents reported the theft of electronics, computers and firearms from a residence in the 100 block of S. Patterson Street.

JULY 4
Four individuals reported the theft of jewelry, purses and firearms from vehicles in the 1500 block of Cinema Drive.

A Statesville resident reported the theft of firearms and money from a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of Tonewood Street.

A resident of Avon, Ind., reported the theft of camera equipment from a motor vehicle in the 900 block of Carolina Avenue N.

Numerous individuals reported that motor vehicles in the 1100 block of Secor Street were broken into.

A Statesville resident reported the theft of a 2014 Chevrolet sedan from the 800 block of Park Drive

Two Statesville residents reported the theft of audio equipment from motor vehicles in the 1100 block of Greenland Drive.

JULY 5
An individual reported the theft of gift cards from a location in the 1500 block of Salisbury Highway.

JULY 6
A resident of Kings Mountain reported the theft of $484 from a location in the 1200 block of Wilmington Avenue.

JULY 7
Two residents of East Bend reported the theft of tools from a location in the 1000 block of Gateway Crossing Drive.
