From annexation requests to demolitions, the Statesville City Council will be dealing with several issues related to real estate during Monday’s meeting. 

Owners of property at the following addresses have requested annexation into the city limits:

♦ 1217 Williams Road; and
257 Hill Haven Road

Demolition has been requested at 205 South Tradd Street as well as a small structure demolition at 418 South Meeting Street.

A foreclosure has been requested for the property located at 1305 Lerain Court.

Meanwhile, the Historic Preservation Commission has requested demolition be halted at 206 Garfield Street. The commission wants the Council to stop foreclosure on the property as well and place the house on the market to be sold.

In addition, the City Council will consider renewal of City Attorney Leah Gaines Messick’s contract with the City as well as recognizing Planning Director David Currier, who will be retiring after 42 years of service to the City.
