Two Lake Norman wrestlers earned All-American accolades during the recent NHSCA High School Nationals.

Junior Carson Floyd finished fourth in the 220-pound weight class and freshman Eli Murray was seventh among competitors in the 138-pound division.

The 32nd Annual High School Nationals were held April 23-25 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. It is the nation’s premier wrestling tournament. Past champions have gone on to successful collegiate and Olympic careers.

Both young men wrestle with the Combat Athletics and are coached by Josh Stanley.

Eli Murray, who has been wrestling since he was six years old, won five of his seven matches during Nationals.
Carson Floyd, who began wrestling in seventh grade, was victorious in four of his six matches.
