As part of the Mooresville Police Department’s commitment to ensuring the safety of town residents and others that utilize local roadways, the MPD recently collaborated with several local law enforcement agencies to hold a successful two-day DWI enforcement/traffic safety campaign.
On May 5-6, MPD officers worked from 9:45 p.m. until 3 a.m. each night in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services (Forensic Tests for Alcohol Branch), Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Statesville Police Department, Troutman Police Department, and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
During the two-day DWI Enforcement/Traffic Safety Campaign, the following enforcement actions were recorded:
♦ Driving While Impaired: 7
♦ No Operators License: 5
♦ Driving While License Revoked: 4
♦ Expired Registration: 1
♦ Seatbelt Violation: 1
♦ Open Container Violation: 2
♦ Drug Charges: 7
♦ Weapon Violations: 1
♦ Wanted Persons Located: 2
♦ Stolen Vehicles Recovered: 1
♦ Other Charges: 26
Total Charges: 55
