Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Katherine Elizabeth Janvrin, 30, Brandy Marie Jones, 41, and Kevin Michael Duckworth, 32, in a news release Tuesday morning.

Deputies assigned to the ICSO Warrant Squar executed a narcotics search warrant at 1202 Brown Summit Avenue on Friday, Campbell said.

The ICSO began investigating after narcotics investigators received information that Janvrin was distributing crystal methamphetamine from a residence in the Brown Summit and Goldsboro Avenue area of west Statesville, according to the news release.

Narcotics investigators established surveillance operations in the area and identified the suspect residence as 1202 Brown Summit, Campbell said.

Investigators then purchased crystal methamphetamine directly from Janvrin at the residence, according to the news release.

Based on the evidence gathered in this investigation, the search warrant was obtained. During the drug raid on Friday, investigators located seven individuals and a small baby.

The amount of crystal methamphetamine located inside the residence, along with numerous other items of evidence, were consistent with the sale and distribution of methamphetamine, Campbell said.

Due to the ages of the baby and others at the residence, the investigators contacted the Iredell County Department of Social Services to respond and assist with ensuring the safety of these individuals.

Janvrin, Jones and Duckworth were all arrested at the residence without incident and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Janvrin was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Crystal Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping or Selling a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Child Abuse. Magistrate Watkins issued a $20,000 secured bond.

Janvrin is on probation for Felony Delivery or Sell of a Schedule III Controlled Substance and Felony Identity Theft.

Jones was charged with Felony Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She received a $4,500 secured bond from Magistrate Watkins.

Duckworth was charged with Felony Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and also served with an outstanding Failure to Appear Arrest Warrant not related to this investigation. Magistrate Watkins issued a $53,000 secured bond on all of these charges.
