The Statesville Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is seeking interested residents to serve on its board.
Volunteers who reside within the territorial jurisdiction of Statesville and have expertise and special interest in history, architecture, archeology and related fields are encouraged to submit an application.
The HPC consists of nine members whose mission is to identify, preserve and protect Statesville’s historic resources. The commission also works to educate the public about these historic resources and historic preservation in general.
Members of the HPC are appointed by City Council to serve a three-year term. The HPC meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
