Special to Iredell Free News

Iredell County Partnership for Young Children (ICPYC) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday to celebrate the agency’s expansion to a second location in Mooresville.

The Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce, ICPYC staff, ICPYC Board of Directors, and community members participated in the ceremony. The event featured tours of the new space, which includes a naturalistic playroom for facilitated playgroups, a family-friendly Early Learning Resource Center, a small training room, and a child-friendly reception area that includes a book vending machine.

Guests also received program information, observed demonstrations of experiential learning, and were invited to play and explore.

The office is located at 249 Williamson Road, Suite 102, in Mooresville and will officially open to the public on July 5. Initial hours will be Tuesday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Iredell County Partnership for Young Children would like to extend a special “thank you” to the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce for helping to make the Ribbon Cutting such a special event, to Sharpe’s Catering for the delicious refreshments, and to Artisan Signs and Sir Speedy Print, Signs, and Marketing for their collaboration in designing and printing the signs for the new office.
