Rescue Ranch is hosting two September events for the community to learn more about the animal welfare nonprofit and its programs:

Fun Friday and Blood Drive at the Ranch

This event is scheduled for Friday, September 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Community members are invited to donate blood through Blood Connection. For each blood donation, $20 will be donated to the Ranch. Appointments are recommended; however, walk-ins are welcome.

In addition, families can participate in discounted group tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids. (Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). The experience includes an indoor group tour and access to the barnyard area with feed for the animals.

Guests will also have access to the Ranch’s 10,000-square-foot inclusive playground.

Guests for the both the blood drive and tours can enjoy purchased food from Cousins Maine Lobster Truck from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Ranch.

Rescue Ranch is located at 1424 Turnersburg Highway, Statesville.

Yappy Hour at Boatyard Lake Norman

On Sunday, September 25, families can enter Boatyard Lake Norman at its Cornelius location with a monetary donation of their choosing to benef Rescue Ranch. 

Bring your dogs to Boatyard Lake Norman for a fun day of pups, live music, drink specials, pupsicles, pet vendors and more. Rescue Ranch will have some of its adoptable dogs on site for patrons to get to know.

Dogs must be leashed at all times and be up to date on vaccines and friendly. This is the only day of the year that Boatyard will allow dogs on site.

Boatyard Lake Norman is located at 18418 Statesville Road, Cornelius.

All proceeds from both events benefit the nonprofit animal welfare organization which promotes respect for all animals through education; is committed to agricultural, environmental and wildlife conservation; and facilitates rehabilitation, rescue, and responsible pet ownership in order to enhance the human-animal bond.
