Jordan Ratliff

Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Jordan Tyler Ratliff, 30, in a news release.

On January 12, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report in reference to identity theft. The victim told deputies she left her debit card at a gas station in Stony Point.

The victim discovered a few days later that there were multiple charges on her account that she did not make or authorize, according to the news release.

The case was assigned to Detective Criag Scannella of the ICSO Office Economic Crimes Unit.

Detective Scannella interviewed the victim, who provided him with documents and bank statements. The detective also obtained evidence from various businesses and gathered evidence indicating that Ratliff had used the victim’s card for unauthorized purchases.

Detective Scannella obtained warrants charging Ratliff with eight counts of identity theft.

Ratliff was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was served with the charges. Magistrate Callejas issued a $75,000 secured bond.
