The Statesville Fire Department recently announced the promotion of two firefighters to lieutenant.

Firefighters Justin Yox and Zach Hinson were promoted after successfully completing the lieutenant assessment.

Hinson has been with the SFD for four years and will be moving from Station 4 to Station 3 on A shift. Yox joined the SFD six  years ago and will move from A shift to C shift at Station 1.
