The Statesville Police Department is continuing to investigate a shooting at the Nimbus 9 Lounge that occurred last month.

SPD officers responded to the establishment, which is located at 646 Shelton Avenue, about 2:56 a.m. on June 11 after receiving a report of gunfire at that location.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound across the street from the lounge, according to a news release.

The victim, who was determined to be a patron of the Nimbus 9 Lounge, received medical attention at the scene and was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The SPD Violent Crimes Unit is asking the public for help identifying a suspect or suspects in the shooting.
