The Statesville Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 28.

This initiative aims to provide the community with a safe and convenient way to dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications, as well as sharps and needles.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two locations:

♦ Walgreen Pharmacy, 951 Davie Avenue; and
♦ CVS Pharmacy, 1550 Wilkesboro Highway

The SPD encourages all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of medications and medical items in an environmentally responsible manner, reducing the risk of drug misuse and protecting our community’s health and safety.
