The new rehearsal space and office of Theatre Statesville was gutted by Tuesday morning’s fire in Downtown Statesville.

Although Theatre Statesville’s new rehearsal and space was severely damaged by the fire in Downtown Statesville early Tuesday morning, the show will go on.

The nonprofit plans to go ahead with its weekend productions of Aladdin Jr. at Cornerstone Christian Academy. Visit HERE for ticket and performance information.

Meanwhile, supporters of Theatre Statesville have launched a gofundme campaign to raise money to help the organization recover. Organizers hope to raise $12,000, and 100 percent of contributions will go directly to Theatre Statesville. Learn more HERE.

 “We are grateful that no one was injured, and we thank the many emergency responders for working tirelessly toward putting out the fire,” the nonprofit said on its Facebook page. “Our thoughts are with the other business owners who were also impacted by this.”
