Mrs. Betty Ann Dalton Moore, 71, of 1712 Lakeview Drive, Statesville, N.C., was bon in Iredell County on March 21, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Lois Griffin Dalton. She departed this life at her home on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, following an extended illness.

She attended the Iredell County Schools and also received her Cosmetologist Degree. She was a member of First Baptist Church on Garfield Street where she served faithfully for many years. She was a Deaconess, Usher, a member of the Senior Choir and served in many other capacities. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Moore.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life four children, Michelle Murdock of Greensboro, and Phillip Lee Jones Jr., Bryant Jones, and Love Nichole Ferguson, all of Statesville; two siblings, Sarah Dalton Russell and James Leonard (Sarah Elaine) Dalton, both of Statesville; ten grandchildren, Phillip Lee Jones III, Michael Jones, Alyiah Jones, Jayden Jones, Zyon Marrow, Tanea Jones, Iyanna Jones, Alesha (Justin) Mauney, Danavon Gresham Jr., and Cedrick Ferguson Jr; great grandchildren, Davion Mauney, Justin Mauney, Ariana Mauney, Makala Mauney, Cass Coffey, Case Cuffeu, and Raelynn Wellington; several special friends, Frankie Scott, Gilda Murdock, Lynn White, Jackie (Bernard) Robertson and Brenda Dean, Ned Thompson, DaVikie Young, Tawanna Coward and Lisa Simpson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, June 7, 2020, at 12 noon at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend James W. Brunson will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

General Public viewing will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the funeral home and will resume on Sunday, June 7, 2020, from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.

There will be no public visitation. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 crisis, Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. You can only enter the funeral with a funeral pass, which will be given to the family.
