Charles Samuel “Sammy” Brown, 64, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on January 3, 1956, in Elizabeth City, N.C., to the late Boyce and Addie Baker Brown. Sammy enjoyed racing motocross, riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR. He was a talented brick mason, had a love for antiques and coins, adventurous, was a cowboy at heart and loved his daughters and grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Allen Brown.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Land (Jamie), Eva Brown, Savannah Brown, and Summer Brown; sisters, Cathy Guthrie, Linda Dickerson, and Karen Lockhart (Baxter); and grandchildren, Hailey, Brooke, and Jaxon Land, Cooper Sherrill, and Paxton Travis.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 3 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
