Dylan Lee Poole, 23, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. His fiancée, Jamie Marie Bathcer, passed away alongside him.

Born in Iredell County on March 15, 1997, he was the son of Magdalene Deanna Poole and Jerry Wayne Blount Jr. He attended North Iredell High School and worked for Lackey Excavation Inc. Dylan enjoyed all sports, having played football while in middle school. He always loved grilling out and being with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Magdalene Poole; step-father, William Farmer; father, Jerry Wayne Blunt Jr.; brothers, Zachary Thomas Farmer and George Austin Farmer; and two uncles, Ronnie Lee Poole (Gale Griffin) and William Plyer Poole. Dylan is also survived by many friends, including his close friend, Bandon Parker.

Dylan will lie in state at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, November 20, 2020, and Saturday, November 21, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A Celebration of Dylan’s life will be held Sunday, November 22, 2020, at 2 p.m. outside at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Newman officiating.

Due to the current pandemic, face masks and social distancing are required to respect the family and friends.
