Mrs. Edna Hall entered eternal rest on December 3, 2020, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C., at age 95. She was the daughter of the late Herman Sharpe and Mamie Sharpe Dalton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ralph Roger Hall; two sisters, Goldsbeth Bailey Cowan (Burgess) and Virginia Dare Chambers (Edward); a grandson, Donnie Ray Gaither; and a son-in-law, Dillard Summers.

She was raised in Iredell County in the New Hope Community. She attended Friendship Baptist Church and was educated at the New Hope Community school. She joined First Baptist Church Garfield Street at an early age. She had a beautiful alto voice and sung in the church choir and was a Missionary member until her health declined.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life three daughters, Deborah Summers, Chris Beamon (Milton) and Zelda Turner (Dexter). Grandchildren include Rochelle Beamon McIver, Dionne Gaither, Leondria Turner, Zachary Turner, Reaco Burton Sr., Quan Kearns and Maria Pierce (Al). The great grandchildren include Satori Stevenson, Evan Gaither, August McIver, Reaco Burton Jr., Ajacia Rankins Christopher Burton, Malik McIver, Devin McIver and Alivia McIver.

Special thanks to all the care givers over the years: Latonya Clark, Crystal Livingston, Rita Caldwell and Lawrence Hall, and Lindsey from Hospice. Thanks to Frances Hasan for the Sunday lunches. We looked forward to the weekly visits with Helen Gibbs, Connie Daye and Wade Ikard, First Baptist Deacons, Gordon Hospice staff and all who called and visited when possible.

Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home is serving the family.
