James “Ronnie” Ronald Lancaster, 74, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on May 20, 1945, in Heard County, Ga., to the late Romey and Evelyn Adams Lancaster. Ronnie married Janice Bishop on July 1, 1966, in Miami. They moved to Mooresville in 1999. Ronnie was a cabinet maker for over 40 years and loved anything NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Lee Lancaster.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Bishop Lancaster; children, James “Jim” Lancaster and Melissa “Lisa” Lancaster; brother, Gene Lancaster (Marcie); sisters, Kadra Puckett (Mel), Kathy Lambert; grandchildren, Karla Shufelt (Steven), Austin Hipkins, and Mason Hipkins (Cassady); and great grandchildren, Colton, Sawyer, Wiley, and Ellie Hipkins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifford Bishop officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
