Jeffrey Long Kennedy, 52, of Statesville, N.C., died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at the Gordon Hospice House.

He was born in Iredell County on September 28, 1967 to Lena Davis Kennedy Horton and the late James Carroll Kennedy. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Amanda Murdock.

Jeff was a graduate of North Iredell High School and worked for over 25 years at Berry Plastics in Mooresville. He was a member of Rock Church. Jeff loved to make noise and scare his wife. When there was a loud noise, the neighbors would call to see if it was Jeff and to see if there was video. He loved guns, building cannons, fast cars, cigarettes, fishing and hunting. More than anything, he loved his family.

Crystal: So sorry. My husband Curtis and I did not know you, but our prayers are with you during this time of grief for a loved one. Russell and Hilda, prayers and love for you. We have not seen Jeff or you to in a long time, but still consider you as friends. Something likes this hurts our hearts so bad but with God by your side he will comfort the family. Trying to understand the reason why; God wanted him home with him. God is the Almighty, my saviour and his will be done. Crystal, as the song goes, I can only imagine, how wonderful Heaven must be.

  7. We are so sorry for your loss. Know that we are here for you. Praying to our Lord that he will lift you and bring peace to your family. We love you.
