Thomas Eugene Lamper, 63, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on June 23, 2020.

He entered this world on August 30, 1956 in Warren, Pa., born to the late Glenn and Violet Lamper. He married the love of his life Dorthy on May 12,1973. Together they had three children, Denise, Charity and Thomas Jr.

Tom was baptized and remained a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mooresville, N.C. He was fondly known as Dad and Grandpa to many. Family was everything to him, and he instilled in his children and grandchildren that “family is the most important thing they will ever have or need.” He loved his dog “Weenie,” who was his companion for over 18 years. Tom loved God, and prayed for his children each and every day. His outlook on life was a positive one. He was always in good spirits. He shared his words of wisdom through his witty comments on social media, and always had uplifting words for those in need. He opened the doors to his home to everyone, he always tried to help others and made sure no one left his house hungry. He enjoyed life, had a good sense of humor, and will be truly missed by all that knew him.

Tom was a technician at Adams Heating & A/C in Charlotte, N.C., for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed hanging out with his co-worker and close friend Ray. Tom considered everyone he met a friend, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed NASCAR, and his favorite driver was Rusty Wallace.

In addition to his, parents he was proceeded in death by his brothers, Billy Lamper, David McCarthy, Michael Lamper, and Mark Lamper; and his sisters, Glenda Lamper and Susan Jashurek.

Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorthy Lamper; his children, Denise (Hank) Sterrett of Mooresville, Charity (Juan) Flores of Troutman, N.C., and Thomas Lamper Jr. of Mooresville. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Ellen Sonney of Warren, Pa., and Kate Snyder of New Mexico; his grandchildren, Kiley, Kristopher, Tayler, Jacob, John and Patience; and his great grandchildren Brielle, Leeyam and Emerald.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
