Mr. David Marcel Robinson, 52, was born in Statesville, N.C. on December 1, 1968, and was the son of the late Nancy Robinson. He departed this life on February 2, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville in the comfort of his sister and children.

David attended High School at Oakwood High, and was a member of CBC Memorial Apostolic Holiness Church.

In addition to his mother, Nancy Robinson, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha Mack. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Jerome Robinson Sr.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life four daughters, Angel Young of Mooresville, Britany Bryson of Statesville, and two daughters he raised, Erica C. Young of Statesville and Jessica A. Dalton of Mooresville; four sons, Antonio (Kaelan) McDonald and Tyrice K. Young, both of Statesville, Daquan M. Robinson of Mooresville, and Kendrick Cornelius of Salisbury; three sisters, Tina (Isaac) Johnson of Statesville, Regina S. Dalton of Mocksville and Treva M. Sanders of Statesville; brothers, Reggie (Angela) Imes of Statesville, Jamie Mack of Statesville, Tony (Diane) Davidson of Statesville, Anthony Davidson of Statesville, Ricky (Lisa) Swilling of Mt. Holly, Kevin Mack of Statesville, and Jerome Swilling of Statesville; thirteen grandchildren; a special sister, Keisha Minor Carr of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Bernard Boards and Irma Troutman.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, February 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Belmont Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
