Mr. Floyd Dunlap Allison Jr., beloved son of Mildred Stevenson Allison and the late Floyd Dunlap Allison Sr., was born in Statesville, N.C., on May 4, 1969. On Saturday, January 23, 2021, he departed this life at his home surrounded by family following an extended illness.

Mr. Allison was a graduate of Statesville High School and attended Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Catawba, N.C. He was employed by the Iredell-Statesville School System as a teacher.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, in addition to his mother, Mildred Stevenson Allison, his children, Jasmine Hector; Patrick (Kylisha) Moss, Justin Hector and Ronekia Parks; his sisters, Tammy (Mark) Overstreet of Statesville and Juanita (Curtis) Nesbit of Virginia; his brothers, and Timothy (Harriet) Davis and Harvey (Alicia) Caldwell, both of Statesville; his uncle, Billy Stevenson of Statesville; and his aunts, Brenda Clinding, Linda Mattox, and Virginia Harris, all of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, January 29, 2021, at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont at 2 p.m. Pastor Glenn J. Usry is the Pastor and Pastor Robbie Waugh will officiate.

There will be no public visitation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
