Helen was born in Stony Point on January 23, 1936, to the late John B. Rhyne and Clara Broyhill Rhyne Christy. She attended schools in Alexander County. As soon as she was old enough, she went to work at the former Uniglass Industries, where she worked until retirement. She met and married the love of her life, Charles, in 1964. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, where she served in various positions. You could always find her with a smile on her face and a hug waiting for you. Helen’s greatest joy in life was her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Everywhere she went, she invited everyone to church to hear about her Savior.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, at Welcome Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the service.

Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
