David Randall Perry, 63, of Statesville, N.C., passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on August 4, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1959, in Statesville to the late Ralph Bentley Perry and Mildred Christine Bennett.

He graduated from South Iredell High School in 1978 and attended CVCC to pursue a career in HVAC. He was very active in church ministry and was a deacon for over 20 years. He was known for his sense of humor, his love for sweets and a heart for helping others. There was no problem big or small that David could not fix and it was known that you could count on him to be there. He will be remembered for his love for Jesus, sincere smile and the continuous prayers for his children and grandchildren. He loved to meet new people and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pamela Davis Perry; his sons, Patrick “Niel” Perry (Amanda) and Bradley Curtis Perry (Kourtney); daughter, Malinda Perry Elder (Casey); grandchildren, Ryland Grey Perry and Ella Rae Perry; second mother, Jerrellyn Perry; siblings, Douglas Perry (Lynn), Linda Cook (Kane, Whitney & Salem), Phil Jones (Cindy), Lynn Atwell (Chip), and Dale Jones (Sara); and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Cavin Cook Funeral Home, 494 East Plaza Drive, Mooresville, NC 28115, with Pastor Talmadge Hollar officiating. They will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Immediately following the service, the burial will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m.
