Huber “John” Flores Lopez, 21, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

He was born on June 15, 2001, in Mooresville, N.C. John was employed at Precision Construction alongside his dad. He also worked in the evenings at Awad Holdings Inc. John was independent and wanted to be able to care for himself and his mother from a very young age. He worked two jobs to purchase his first car and help care for his younger siblings.

John enjoyed spending his time with his girlfriend of four years, Maria Castillo. They had a future planned together. John loved all of his family; he would help his mom with the care of his siblings. He had an infectious personality, and he loved to make others laugh. John had a positive outlook and was determined that he was going to be successful in life.

He enjoyed going to the shooting range with friends and flying his drone all over the place. He enjoyed traveling to new places and taking pictures of the scenic views in the mountains while working. John often proudly sent pictures of his carpentry work. He was intelligent, hardworking, and dreamed big.

John’s life was taken from us way too soon.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jaciel Lopez Campuzano; paternal grandparents, Juan Flores Pinera and Dariaa Julian Mata; and his bonus grandpa, Thomas Eugene Lamper Sr.
