Jerry Lynn Huffine, 79, of Statesville, N.C., went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born in Washington County, Tenn., on June 4, 1943, to the late Glen Huffine and Georgia Ruth Buchanan Huffine, and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Martin and a brother, Harold Huffine.

Jerry was preceded in death on May 27, 2022, by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Dean Maye Huffine. They met at the Shriners of South Carolina.

Jerry retired from Ingersoll Rand and was a member Gloryland Baptist Church. He loved his church and his Lord. He was a huge fan of the Tennessee Volunteers football team and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Jerry never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing and loved his beagles.

Survivors include a goddaughter, Leslie McDonald (Kevin), and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Fern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Blain Keaton and Conley Matlock officiating. The family will speak with friends following the burial.
