Judith Duva Patti, 82, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was born on July 17, 1940 to the late James and Angela Panico Duva.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jacklyn Duva Zihala.

She is survived by her brother, James Duva and wife Paula; nieces, Jodie Parks and husband Skip; Kara Zihala; Jamie Duva; nephew Jonathan Zihala; great nieces Emily Parks and Abby Parks; and great nephew Andrew Inocencio.

Judi grew up in Little Falls, N.J., and graduated from Passaic Valley High School. After obtaining her degree from Fairleigh Dickinson, she was an elementary school teacher, which brought her tremendous joy. She took up a career as a realtor after relocating to Florida for over 30 years. Before moving to North Carolina two years ago to be near her niece, she lived in an ocean front condo where she loved sitting on her patio watching and listening to the ocean.

Judi loved to travel and visited many different countries. Some of her hobbies included golf, tennis, reading, singing at church and gardening. She loved entertaining friends and family, especially at the family farm. She had a great sense of humor and great style, always shopping for another great pair of shoes. Judi loved to be around her nieces and nephews and would always tell them to “come and stay with me at the beach!” She will be greatly missed!

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in New Jersey. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
