Mary Frances Holland, 86, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She is now celebrating with her Lord and Savior.

Mary Frances Crawford Holland was born November 12, 1935, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Crawford. She attended Cool Spring School, and then went on to further her education at Draughon Business School for one year. She worked at the Clerk of Court and ASCS office. It was at the ASCS office that she met the love of her life, Jimmie W. Holland. Mary Frances served alongside her husband as he answered the call into ministry and served as a pastor’s wife, serving Christ together for 29 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 65 years, Jimmie; her three children, Brian (Tammy) Holland, Gary (Wendy) Holland, and Cynthia (Paul Jr.) Addison, along with six grandchildren, Thomas Holland, Waylon (Sheridan) Holland, Conner Holland, Chloe Holland, Mary Elizabeth Addison, and Paul Addison III.

Our precious mother loved cooking, gardening, sewing, and she dearly loved her church family. She walked through life with grace and faith.

A special thanks to Regina who assisted for almost a full year by providing excellent care and to Kathy who came on board in the last few weeks assisting in the care of Mary France’s life. The Holland family is deeply grateful to Dr. Bouhussein, Jill Calhoun, PA-C, Dr. Pisel, and Dr. White in the care they gave to our mom.

A funeral service celebrating the beautiful life of Mary Frances Holland will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will visit with friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow the funeral at Providence United Methodist Church.
