Mrs. Rosalind Adele Mott Eckles, 72, was born in Rowan County on April 26, 1950, and was the daughter of the late John Mott and Virginia Avery. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Rosalind attended Amity Hill Schools and prior to her retirement was employed as a machine operator at Knitting Mills. She was a faithful member of the Allen Temple Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, N.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lee Gaither; and her second husband, William L. Eckles; a son, Bryan Lamar Gaither; and a dear friend, Roy Imes.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her son, Robert (Vernetta Hosch) Gaither of Cleveland, N.C.; two daughters, Felicia Mott of Spencer, N.C., and Bridgett Gibbs (Billy Smyre) of Statesville, N.C.; two brothers, William Mott of Cleveland, N.C., and Lawrence Mott of Statesville, N.C.; two sisters, Lannie Mott of Cleveland, N.C., and Kathy Mott of Salisbury, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Robert Gaither Jr., Alecia Mott, Keisha Cowan, Maurice Cowan, Candice Smyre, Daffney Smyre, and Portia Morrison; three great grandchildren, Anyaha Clark, Kass Smyre, and Canel Cowan; one great-great grandchild, Banks Dobbens; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends.
