Angela “Angie” Jayne Tanner Keller, 58, of Drexel, N.C., passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 15, 2023.

Angie was born April 19, 1965, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late William “Johnny” Tanner and Porchia (Wren) Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Tanner.

Angie always had a love for music, dancing, being with friends, laughing, entertaining, and having a good time. She remained a child at heart until the end and was full of sarcasm and jokes. As a young woman, she enjoyed crafting, painting, and had a love for makeup and beauty. She also spent many nights roller skating in Kannapolis with her kids and friends. Angie loved her kids and being a Nana.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Wideman (Brian) and Shellie Ferguson; grandchildren, Bobby, Antonio, and Lucy; sisters, Crystal Waldrop and Kimberly Tanner; and brothers, Brian and Douglas Watkins. Angie also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many friends, including her closest companion, Samuel Armstrong.

Angie will be remembered as a compassionate loving Mama and friend.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 20, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Community Baptist Church. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. in the church cemetery.
