Barbara Blackwelder Bostian, 88, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Best of Care Assisted Living in Kannapolis.

She was born on March 16, 1935, in Mooresville to the late Louis Wilson and Ruth Burgess Blackwelder. Mrs. Bostian was retired from the Brian Center Nursing Center in Mooresville. She was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Mount Ulla. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, baking, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bostian; grandson, Sam Miller; and sons-in-law, Craig Arrowood and Jeff Miller.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Arrowood, Rissa Miller, Guy Bostian, and Rich Bostian (Susan); grandchildren, Bevin Fink (Troy), Jessie Colton (Jason), Tyler Bostian (Heather), Mandy Hessler (Jeremy), and Kelsey Davidson (Justin); great grandchildren, Sara Fowler (Jeremy), Noah Fink, Seth Fink, Levi Fink, Liam Hessler, Rowen Hessler, Karissa Bostian, Rankin Bostian, Rylan Davidson, and Reece Davidson; great great granddaughter, Savannah Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 29, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with a service following at 11:30 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Collins officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
