Concetta “Tina” Saccento DeGregorio, 96, formerly of Levittown, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

She was born on November 21, 1926, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., to the late Rocco and Lucia (DiPasquale) Saccento. A long-time resident of New York, she spent most of her life in Levittown, N.Y. (Long Island) from 1955 – 2015. In 2016, she made the move to Mooresville, N.C. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, coloring, cooking, sewing, and game shows (Family Feud & Deal or No Deal, just to name a few). She was a people person, never knew a stranger and enjoyed doing things for others and was known for her big Italian Sunday dinners. She loved her family greatly, and they loved her. She will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Angelo “Phil” DeGregorio; son, Ralph DeGregorio; siblings, Rose DeMonico (Charles), Frank Saccento (Sue), John Saccento (Sally), James Saccento (Alessandra), Frances Baer (Robert), Joseph Saccento (Jean), Bettina Nigro (Richard), and Angelina Santini (Angelo).

She is survived by her daughters, Christina Moore (John “Scotty”) and Rosemarie DeGregorio-Hodges (Gene); daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Hubner) DeGregorio; brother, Paul Saccento (Patricia); grandchildren, Patrick Moore, Christina Smith (Kevin), Daniel DiRocco (Christen), Donna Welsh (Stephen “Tug”), and Angela DiRocco (Aaron); and eight great-grandchildren, Brian, Dalton, Tyler, River, Avery, Noah, Jackson, and Nora.

A Wake will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793. Burial will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, following the wake at St. Charles Roman Catholic Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
