Mrs. Cynthia Ann Polk Wilson, 55, was born in Iredell County on June 26, 1967, to the late Adolphus Lee Polk and Edna Jean Dalton Polk. She departed this life on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Maple Leaf Health Care in Statesville, N.C.

Cynthia attended West Iredell High School and was employed at Accuma as a Quality Controller. She was a faithful member of the Gateway to Heaven Commandment Keepers Church, Statesville, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolphus Lee Polk and Edna Jean Dalton Polk.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her husband Sidney Alvin Wilson of the home; three daughters, Coretta (Matthew) Anderson, Tiesha Wilson, and Shantle Polk, all of Statesville, N.C.; two stepsons, Jawon Wilson and Jayden Wilson, both of Statesville, N.C.; two brothers, Terry Wayne Dalton and Charles (Shelia) Lee Polk; four sisters, Claudene (David) Hargrove, Sharon Ann (Greg) Thomas, and Kimle (Todd) Dalton, all of Statesville, N.C., and Maryland (David) Holly of Stony Point, N.C.; uncles, Jack (Patsy) Dalton and Keith Dalton; aunts, Patricia Dalton, Dorothy (David) Bennett, Edith (Kevin) Patterson, Cindy (Tim) Dalton, Cathy (George) Walker, Karen Dalton, and Tewanna (Darryl) Davidson; grandchildren, Asyless Stokes, Sir Wiley Stokes, Lavin Stokes, Hykerrien Stokes, Julius Stokes, Jaetee Stokes, Darrius Kerney, Dazye Kerney, Dakhari Kerney, Damonni Kerney, Nazir Polk, Jayden Anderson, Harmony Anderson, Autumn Anderson, and Chase Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Assistant Pastor Tasha Corpening will be officiating the service, and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
