Mr. Jack Ivey Jr., 88, of Statesville, N.C., left this world for his Heavenly home on June 23, 2023. Jack was born September 5, 1934, in Dillon County, S.C., to the late Willie Jack and Celia Ann Ivey.

He was retired from Hunt Manufacturing and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and previously served as Men’s Sunday School teacher. He loved his Lord and Savior and sharing God’s love with others.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Laura Lee Ivey; and 12 siblings. He is survived by five daughters, Latatia Cavin (Stanley) of Statesville, Katrina Howard (Jeff) of Troutman, Darlene Ivey of Statesville, Laura Whiting (Rick) of Statesville and Jackie Summerson of Martinsburg, W.Va. Also surviving are nine grandchildren Zeth Davidson (Ashley), Courtney Wierckz (Quinn), Ryan Smith (Joshua), Ethan Howard (Lindsey), Aaron Cavin, Jonathan Whiting (Savannah), Laiken Summerson, Lacie Summerson and Emily Howard; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Ivey we be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Safriet officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
