Mr. Jeffery Edward Parson, 59, was born in Iredell County on August 19, 1964, to the late Gus Edward Parsons and Myrtle Sue Gregory. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Jeffery graduated from Statesville High School with the Class of 1983. He was employed with Kewaunee Scientific Corporation of Statesville as a machine operator. He enjoyed playing football and softball, walking, landscaping, music, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Parson; and his sister, Mary Allison.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, five brothers, Johnny Gregory (Terri) of Charlotte, N.C., Bobby Gregory of Statesville, N.C., Carl Philmore Gregory of Tennessee, Gus Edward Parson (Robin) of Kernersville, N.C., and Thomas (Regina) Parson; one sister, Teresa Parson Jones; a special nephew, Marcus Parson; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary.
