A. Carol Rimmer, 80, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Carol was born on February 16, 1944, in Iredell County to the late Robert Ira Rimmer and Edith Aleene Holthouser Rimmer. She was a graduate of Statesville High School and was the business manager for the Statesville Record & Landmark with thirty-four years of experience. She later worked for Bell and Howard Chevrolet. Carol was a member of the Statesville Business and Professional Women’s Club since 1967, served as president from 1978-79, recipient of the Yearbook Dedication in 1973-74 and was Woman of the year in 1993.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Troutman Historical Cemetery with Rev. John Parks officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County at 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the organization of the donor’s choice.
