Vincent “Vinnie” Joseph Centro, 57, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center.

He was born on September 4, 1966, in Bayonne, N.J., to Marie Adamczyk Centro and the late Richard Joseph Centro. “Vinnie the Slice” The Pizza Man was involved in the pizza business for over 30 years and then recently was employed with Randy Marion Automotive. He was very compassionate, loving, a protector, and a gentle giant. He fiercely loved his family, and they were all very important to him. Vinnie was a social butterfly, and his circle of friends was also a big deal to him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Ann Centro; sisters, Diana Marie Centro, Denise Elizabeth Centro (Rodger), and Janice Kathryn Kennedy; nephews, David Baker and Harrison Kennedy; niece, Kaitlyn Hoffman (Nick); in-laws, Vicki Mills (Todd), Robert Keiser (Debbie), and Kelly Hoffman (Windell); and his beloved K-9 companions, Frankie, Pia, and Ripley.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 5, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville. A Celebration of Life reception will be following from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
