Betty May Rominger, 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on April 29, 2026. Betty was born August 22, 1938, in Wisner, La., to the late W.C. and Lonnie May.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Rominger, and sisters Lois and Ruth. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pickard and husband Tim Pickard, daughter, Karyn Romary, granddaughters Tiffany Newsome and husband Chad Newsome, Miranda Pickard, and Katelyn Romary, and great granddaughters Olivia Newsome and Lyla Stilson.

Betty loved Jesus, sweets and all the little things in life. She could tell you every type of flower, all about birds and loved talking about the farm. She loved going on little adventures to the bookstore, farmers’ market or just out to eat, dessert being her favorite part of any meal. She was and is very loved and will be missed.

Per her wishes, a memorial service will be held graveside at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, La., on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1 p.m.
