Elke Brune Clark, 79, of Mount Mourne, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 23, 1946, in Germany to the late Otto and Anna Brune.

Elke was a member of Community Baptist Church in Mooresville for 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Clark.

She is survived by her son, Hans Richard Clark, and wife Sandra Dee; grandson, Michael Walker, and wife Samantha; four great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 9, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
