
Landon Makhi “Khi” Alexander Barker, 20, of Hiddenite, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Alexander County.
Khi was born August 20, 2005, in Iredell County, the son of Corey Debar Barker and Latasha Gray. He was currently working in the shipping department for IFS in Conover. He was a member of Love & Unity Resurrection Church in Taylorsville. He played football for ACHS and was a Class of 2023 graduate. He enjoyed playing his gaming system and loved hanging out with his friends, and enjoyed time with his family.
Khi was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Richard L. Gray Jr.; paternal grandmother, Kathy A. Barker; and his great-grandma, Madia Poole Jones.
In addition to his parents, family members left to cherish and honor Khi’s memories include his siblings, Makenna Barker and Malaysha Barker; his maternal grandmother, Brenda Gray; his maternal grandfather, Billy George; his paternal grandfather, Jimmy Barker; his great-grandmother, Summa Watts; one niece on the way, Milani McKinnely; special cousins, Kendall Mayes, Jai-Kwaun Tilley, Frank Dockery, Keon Miller, Karoline Mayes, and Isaiah Lackey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The body will lie-in-state from 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
The Home-Going Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Taylorsville. Burial will follow in the Love & Unity Resurrection Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
