
Virginia “Ginny” Redmond, 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 9, 2026, in Mooresville, N.C.
Born on October 12, 1931, in Scarsdale, N.Y., Ginny lived a life centered around love, devotion, and family. Beloved wife of Patrick Redmond, they shared many wonderful years of marriage together.
She was also a devoted mother to her four children, Denise Pizarro, Peter Redmond, Don Redmond, and David Redmond, as well as a proud and loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Known for her caring heart and deep commitment to family, Ginny treasured time spent with those she loved most. Her passions included living on the lake, enjoying animals, bowling and card playing. Her warmth, strength, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her, including friends, neighbors, and her caregivers.
Ginny leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
