Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Ross Arlington Edwards, 51, in a news release Monday morning.

The ICSO conducted a joint operation with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, December 19, after Alamance investigators determined Edwards had used the internet to share child pornography, Campbell said.

Edwards was interviewed along with one other witnesses prior to Edwards being taken into custody, Campbell said.

Edwards was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was charged with three counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Ross was issued a $60,000 secured bond by Magistrate Imes for these charges.

Additional charges are likely once all of the electronic devices which were seized are forensically processed, Campbell said.

The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office also charged Edwards with two counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was issued a $40,000 bond on those charges.
