A 46-year-old man faces multiple charges in connection with a break-in at Goodwill Industries on Williamson Road on Easter.

Mooresville police officers responded to 214 Williamson Road on Sunday after receiving a report that a door was left open at the nonprofit’s thrift shop.

After a Goodwill employee arrived at the store, MPD officers conducted a search of the building and the immediate area.

An individual, identified as Jason A. Kirkpatrick of Kings Mountain was located nearby with items confirmed to belong to Goodwill Industries by the employee and video surveillance, according to an MPD news release.

Kirkpatrick was arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with Felony Breaking & Entering, Damage to Property, Habitual Larceny, Resisting/Delaying Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer, and Violation of the N.C. Governor’s Executive Order #121 (Stay at Home Order).

The suspect was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where a magistrate issued a $50,000 secured bond.
