FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Statesville Police Department is investigating the following crime reports:

JANUARY 6
A resident of the 1800 block of Vista Terrace reported a break-in and larceny of numerous possessions, including Timberland boots, an engagement ring, watches, rings, chains, a 35-inch TV, and a .25-caliber Remington pistol.

A Statesville resident reported an arson in the 1000 block of 7th Street.

JANUARY 8
Two Statesville residents reported that a wallet containing credit cards and cash, and a purse containing cash were stolen during a vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Brookdale Drive.

Two residents of the 1300 block of Forest Park Terrace reported a vehicle break-in and larceny of a drivers license.

JANUARY 11-14
The owner of Floyd’s Barbershop on Tradd Street reported a break-in and larceny in which $20, an xBox, xBox games, antique razors and a door key were stolen.

JANUARY 12
A resident of Reid Street reported an assault with a deadly weapon.

JANUARY 13
An employee of Tractor Supply Co. on Crossroads Drive reported a break-in and damage to personal property.


Felony Arrests

The SPD reported the following arrests:

JANUARY 10
♦ Corey Parnell Sims, 50, of Lark Lane, Statesville, charged with attempted murder.

JANUARY 15
Michael Kendrell Stevenson, 38, of Buffalo Shoals Road, Statesville, charged with federal probation violation.

JANUARY 16
Naseem Alaji Wilkes, 19, of Charlotte Road, Statesville, charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
