The Statesville Police Department reported the following arrests:
APRIL 1
♦ Demarcus Lamont Maddox Jr., 21, of W. Sharpe Street, Statesville, charged with murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor discharging a firearm in the city limits.
APRIL 3
♦ Mishad Tysiery Lackey, 19, of Windrush Court, Statesville, charged with three counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm, larceny and misdemeanor larceny.
APRIL 4
♦ Jevairi Briaun Minor, 18, of Russell Street, Statesville, charged with three counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, larceny and misdemeanor larceny.
APRIL 7
♦ Jedarian Donzle Harper, 28, of Prosperity Place, Statesville, charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor communicating threats, and misdemeanor resist, delay or obstruct an officer.
APRIL 8
♦ Latoya Shantae Hester, 38, of Mt. Bethel Road, Harmony, charged with attempted armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, first-degree burglary, and assault by pointing a gun.
Crime Reports
The SPD is investigating the following crime reports:
APRIL 2
♦ A Statesville resident reported a breaking and entering in the 1200 block of Fifth Street.
APRIL 3
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of an N.C. State University class ring from a motor vehicle in the 400 block of Summit Avenue.
♦ Three Statesville residents reported the theft of clothing and a woman’s diamond ring from a motor vehicle in the 2100 block of Windrush Court.
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of clothing from a motor vehicle in the 200 block of Jonathan Lane.
APRIL 5
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of a handgun from a motor vehicle in the 1700 block of Chipley Ford Road.
♦ A Statesville resident reported a home-invasion and assault at a home in the 1200 block of Fifth Street.
APRIL 6
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of a Calvin Klein purse, Social Security Card, driver’s license and debit card from a motor vehicle in the 1100 block of Phillips Lane.
APRIL 7
♦ A representative of Vape House, located in the 700 block of Sullivan Road, reported the theft of miscellaneous CBD products and devices during a break-in.
♦ Two individuals reported the theft of four firearms, a machete and a PlayStation game system during a break-in at a residence on Hawthorne Drive.
APRIL 8
♦ A Statesville resident reported a home-invasion, assault and theft of a handgun in the 600 block of Durham Avenue.
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of a MacBook Air from a motor vehicle in the 700 block of West End Avenue.
APRIL 9
♦ A Statesville resident reported the theft of a handgun from a motor vehicle in the 600 block of W. Bell Street.
