Joseph Glasgow

Former mayoral candidate Joseph Glasgow has been appointed to the Statesville Community Appearance Commission.

Mayor Costi Kutteh congratulated Glasgow on the appointment and expressed his appreciation for his willingness to serve.

The Statesville Community Appearance Commission is appointed by the Mayor and charged to “initiate, promote and assist in the implementation of programs of general community beautification in the city.”

Glasgow’s term will run through January 1, 2026.

Glasgow finished a distant fourth in the mayor’s race in May, garnering 6.9 percent of the vote.
