Four Iredell-Statesville Schools students competed at the North Carolina State FFA Veterinary Science Career Development Event in Sanford on Saturday, November 19.

The Senior Team, made up of students from North Iredell High School and Agriculture & Science Early College, captured first place in the Northwest Region. Team members were Lanie Estes, Morgan Harrington, Kyla Quanz and Katie Wilson.

The purpose of the Veterinary Science Career Development Event is to provide a competitive event for agricultural education students, provide opportunities for participants to develop technical knowledge, and demonstrate practical skills in the field of veterinary science.
