Statesville Woman’s Club supports homeless students through ‘Laundry Love’ project

The General Federation of Woman’s Club of North Carolina Statesville Woman’s Club recently held a “Laundry Love” collection of quarters and laundry supplies to help during laundry day for the local McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Program, which assists homeless students enrolled in Iredell-Statesville Schools.

The donation included $258 worth of quarters that was divided into 43 individual bags. During the recent laundry day that was held, six families were able to have their laundry costs covered.
