The inaugural Mooresville Fondo charity bike ride will take place on September 9, as part of the ongoing celebrations for Mooresville’s 150th anniversary.

With a sponsorship goal of $100,000, this landmark event will begin in Downtown Mooresville. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Top of the Lake Rotary Club will receive significant proceeds from the event.

The Mooresville Fondo will cater to cyclists of all skill levels, offering a 25-mile route, a 50-mile route, and a 75-mile route. This event is designed to create an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere that embodies the celebratory spirit of Mooresville’s 150th anniversary.

The organizing committee has raised $24,000 towards the $100,000 target. Each dollar raised will directly contribute to enhancing the event and supporting the invaluable work of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an organization dedicated to saving lives and providing hope to those affected by suicide. Additionally, the Top of the Lake Rotary Club seeks to foster connections, create opportunities, and promote positive change through its diverse projects and initiatives.

In addition to the bike rides, the Mooresville Fondo will feature post-ride celebrations for participants. Attendees can enjoy food, drinks, vendors, and music.
