Two suspects face charges in connection with a shooting on Inglewood Road following an investigation by the Statesville Police Department.

The SPD announced the arrests of Statesville residents Heaven Leigh Jones, 19, and Krispen Tre Blackler, 18, in a news release Friday.

Officers responded to a shooting on April 15 at 913 Inglewood, police said. The SPD’s Violent Crime Unit conducted an investigation and identified Jones and Blackler as suspects, according to the news release.

Investigators obtained arrest warrants for both suspects on June 1. Details about the shooting were not released.

On Wednesday, June 21, Jones was apprehended in Winston-Salem by U.S. Marshals and transported to Statesville. She was charged with felony accessory after the fact. Her bond was set at $25,0

Blackler turned himself in at the Statesville Police Department on Thursday, June 22. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm in the city limits. His bond was set at $200,000.

The SPD expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the U.S. Marshal’s Service in this case.
